I’ve never had a straight career path and I’ve made peace with that. What I do have is over two decades of experience actually making things: websites, graphics, content, newsletters, communities, and brands built from scratch.
I started in web design working with marketing agencies on projects for big brands, then moved into freelance work with small businesses, then spent years doing technical WordPress support, and somewhere along the way got deeply involved in traditional Chinese medicine and eventually built my own astrology and tarot project where I offer consultations and create all the content myself.
That last part surprises people sometimes, but it makes total sense to me. All those years living and working in that world shaped the way I think, the way I create and the way I connect with people. It’s not something I can really separate from who I am.
What ties everything together is that I’ve always learned by jumping in and figuring things out. I’m the kind of person who gets curious about something and just starts doing it, and somewhere along the way it becomes a skill. I care about the details, I care about whether things feel right, and I genuinely enjoy the whole process of building something from nothing, seeing it take shape and watching it become real.
These are some of the skills I have more experience with.
A few things I’ve built on my own, because I tend to learn best by actually doing.
